Microsoft Xbox 360's High Failure rate?

Microsoft seem to believe that thier failure rate is around 30%, i call this as fud, when you have people returning for repairs up to 12 Xbox's, then the failure rate is definitely more then 30%.

The Xbox360 high failure rate has been attributed to a combination of incorrect Solder mix, and the Xclamp causing the board to bow when heated.

the solder mix was due to GBR's stupid RoHS policy,

this resulted in the solder being only made up of mostly Silver, which any electrical engineer knows, becomes brittle when brought to a certain temperature..

Coupled with the high heat output of the 360's Core and GPU, the heat causes the Xclamp to expand and contract causing the back of the cores solder point to bow, breaking the joints.

How can you honestly have any faith in this company when they've known about this Design Flaw, yet have not issued a Full and Total Recall of all affected products.

Although Xbox 360s are at a certain failure rate...67.3 of Xbox 360 users have assured that you have to take good care of the system.

Microsoft has had so much problems back when they didnt have the free warranty.

As for now , not so many are complaining caz their having 2 much fun playing...

Due to their failures , as you said they have installed new chips...

Which cannot be held between anybody's hands easily.
