Hi. A few weeks ago, when I clicked on New Word Document, or any other time I started a new word document, writing would come up on my page. It was an essay that I typed the day before, and it always shows up when I try and get a new word document. the settings are always the same as the settings i put for that essay.

how do i get a new clean word document without reinstalling microsoft word, and without changing the settings everytime i try and start a new word document?

You saved your essay as a template rather than a document. You changed your NORMAL.DOT

Below is the procedure to start with a blank page... AND with the margins and default font that you like.

Your normal.dot file is corrupt. You need to create a new one. You should be able to delete the old one and Word will recreate a new one. It's a hidden file, so you'll need to "unhide" it to delete it. Make sure Word is closed when you do this.
