Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and Ms Office Home and Student?

I am looking at getting a computer with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and then getting Office Home and Student. Will this just like an upgrade or will it cover up Home Premium. i know that Office Home and Student edition contain Word, Powerpoint, Excel and One note.

Office runs on top of Windows Vista. Office will never replace Windows. Both will exist at the same time.

It will cover up Home Premium. Vista is a completely diff set-up from Windows XP. If you have the chance to get Vista, don't. There's too many probs with it.
try openoffice and do not buy ms office ,just use open office it is free and what i use on my xp computer

they have nothing to do with each other the home premium is a operating system and the home and student is a program it will not cancle anything out
Vista is an operating system. Office is a set of programs that you install into that operating system. They're different kinds of software.

vista is the computer's operating system, and Office is a computer program that will run on the computer's operating system, so one will not cover up the other.
I personally don't find Vista worth a lot of fuss over. It has nice, cute little features, but I was quite satisfied with the quality of XP. In this case, I wouldn't go for Vista unless you get an epic deal, or it is included, which it is.

I am not familiar with the Home premium version of Vista. If it does include an updated office (shoot for 2007), I see no reason in purchasing another copy as this will not be an upgrade. I own Office home and student 2007 and think that it is by far the most versatile office set I have ever laid hands on thus far (which is alot!) I don't find OneNote all that helpful, although my brother thinks it can be very useful. So if you are considering purchasing the Office, I say do it!
