Atomic notation in microsoft Word 2003? Can you help?

I need to type atomic number and weight into a paper using Microsoft Word 2003. The numbers have to go one on top of the other without a line. My professor does not know how to do this using Word - he uses Word Perfect. I have been to every knowledge base in Microsoft. I am now rather desperate.

Thanks!!

Usually, I use the Microsoft equation to type such complicated stuff. Its under the 'Insert' tab.
