Here are some gaffes that passes Microsoft word passes as perfectly valid and well constructed sentences.

"We prey to god that he grant piece to the departed sole"

"I request for leave of absence, as I am not suffering well for the last couple of two days."

Hey I have a few too. I quote them in my classes all the time.

Here's the best one:

"Eye halve a spelling chequer, it came with my pea sea, it plainly marques fore my revue miss steaks eye kin knot sea"

Even the Yahoo Answers spell checker confirmed it!

When recruiting, I call these resume and cover letter gaffes, "death by spell check". Here are a few of my favorites (from memory).

Spent three years learning there accounting software.

My grammar is good. (you just know Word prompted them to change this)

Part of my duties were to break out loan payments and journalize principle and interest. (s/b principal)
