Unable to start link provided by Microsoft which says that Yahoo have a fix. Please advise.

If the link worked it would do nothing more than bring up the Yahoo Toolbar download page. That is the fix.
You should check and make sure you have the latest version of the toolbar.

uninstall the toolbar!
a lot of virusus " piggy back" a lot on microsoft so dont down load any thing. do a virus scan with norton or mcafee and then do a cleanup and defrag...hope that helps but NEVER pay for security

Best thing to do is to upgrade to the latest version of toolbar which you can download at:
http://uk.toolbar.yahoo.com
This should fix any problems.
