While opening the microsoft word file. Another file is created by the name ~$ before the actual file name. YOu can't open the ~$ file as an error message appear. MICROSOFT OFFICE WORD NEEEDS A CONVERTER TO DISPLAY THIS FILE CORRECTLY. THIS FEATURES IS NOT CURRENTLY INSTALLED WOULD YOU LIKE TO INSTALL IT NOW? When I try to install another message appeared. ERROR 25090 OFFICE SETUP ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM WITH THE OFFICE SOURCE ENGINE, SYSTEM ERROR:-2147024891 PLEASE OPEN C:\PROGRAM FILES \ MICROSOFT OFFICE\OFFICE11\1033\SETUP.CHM AND LOOK FOR "OFFICE SOURCE ENGINE" FOR INFORMATION ON HOW TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

It's a temp file created for an unsaved version of that document.

If you've seved that document already, delete this one.

It sounds like you may have the 'show hidden files' option turned on. If so, open windows explorer from the start menu (not ie explorer) and click on tools/folder options/view and deselect show hidden files.

I recently got a Microsoft Broadband Networking Wireless-G Base Station MN-700 and am having difficulties with it. I hooked it up just fine and can accesses the internet through my desktop (which the base station is attached to). But whenever I try to connect to the network form my laptop it asks for a security key or passphrase. I created a password for my base station but it is not the same thing. I cannot find any information about it in the user's guide and Microsoft wants to charge me $39.99 to call and ask them a question. I'm so lost here... any help?

You can do it in Publisher, but if you're going to email it to others you'll probably have big compatibility issues. Publisher is not tolerant that way. If you're not going to email it (just print it out), then use Publisher and it'll walk you right through the whole thing. Otherwise...

Your best bet is to use Microsoft Word. The more recent versions are pretty powerful with using the clip art gallery and you can format the pictures to be in color, B%26W, grayscale, and whether or not they'll be behind the text or if the text should wrap around it. Just go goof around with it and you'll see.

You can use Microsoft Power Point to make a flyer. You have to understand Microsoft Power Point, how to add image, how to add text, how to add Word Art, and so on. It is impossible to tell you step by step here.

Or You can use Microsoft Publisher. It has several templates to let you choose from.
If you go into word Project Gallery there are templates for brochures, I assume you mean the tri-fold variety. Look around there are other useful ones you might find as well.

Yes, you can open an older 2003 version in 2007 without any problems.

As for your second question, I think your talking about an animated graphic. When you insert it into PowerPoint it doesn't animate it until you play the show (press F5).

Here's a tip you may not be aware of: if you have a large show and you want to view the show from a particular slide you can do it easily. Press F5 to run the show, type in the slide number that you want to view and press enter. Let's assume you want to start your show at page 10. Press F5 then type 10 and press Enter.

Well i dont think you can upgrade unless u buy the upgrade version of office which i dont really exists. If you install Office 2007 it will keep your old office, so u will have 2 different versions of office. You could just remove the old one first and then install the new one.
When you buy Office 2007, and install, it will automatically upgrade the previous Word, Access, Excel etc. All you have to do is put your Office 2007 cd in your computer and follow the instructions, just like other software.

When it is installed, the previous Office system will be gone, so you will have Word 2007 on your pc.

actually, i think word 2007 kinda sucks. there are no improvements, and they just moved all the menus around so that it's difficult to use. unless you've seen it and you really need it, i would avoid that upgrade.
